I used to care about that, but not so much anymore. I do find that if I'm reading a PUBLISHED book, and I catch spelling errors or grammatical mistakes, I can't help but stare at the same word/sentence for about 5 minutes. During that time I consider contacting the publisher and requesting a recall and a new book. At the end of the 5 minutes, I figure it's a waste of time and start on the next sentence.
